Terms of Service

Last updated: draft, pending legal review

These Terms govern your use of striq, an AI chat subscription service. By creating an account or using the service you agree to these Terms. This document is a structural draft and has not yet been reviewed by a lawyer; it should not be relied on as a final legal agreement until that review is complete.

1. The service

striq provides access to AI chat, agentic tools, and image generation through a web application, offered on Free, Pro, and Ultra subscription tiers with different usage quotas.

We may change, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service, including specific models, tools, or quota levels, at any time. We will make reasonable efforts to notify subscribers of material changes that reduce the value of a paid tier.

2. Accounts

You must provide a valid email address and keep your login credentials confidential. You are responsible for all activity under your account.

You must be legally capable of entering into this agreement in your jurisdiction. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or the Acceptable Use Policy.

3. Subscriptions and billing

Paid tiers are billed on a recurring monthly basis through our payment provider. Prices are shown in the currency displayed at checkout and may change with advance notice.

If you enable auto-renew, your subscription renews automatically at the end of each billing period using your saved payment method, until you cancel. If a renewal charge fails, we apply a grace period before downgrading your account, as described in the Refund & Billing Policy.

See the separate Refund & Billing Policy for cancellation and refund terms.

4. Usage limits

Each tier is subject to rolling usage quotas (a short-term window and a weekly window) and hard per-request input/output limits. Quota levels are shown in your account and may be adjusted from time to time.

Automated, scripted, or bulk usage designed to circumvent these limits, or to resell access to the service, is not permitted without a separate written agreement.

5. Content and conduct

You retain ownership of the content you submit. You grant us a limited license to process, store, and transmit that content as necessary to operate the service, including sending it to third-party AI model providers to generate a response.

You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to submit any content you send through the service, and for how you use the outputs. See the Acceptable Use Policy for prohibited uses.

6. AI-generated output

Responses and images are generated by third-party AI models and may be inaccurate, incomplete, or inappropriate for your use case. Do not rely on AI output as professional, medical, legal, or financial advice without independent verification.

7. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose or non-infringement.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, our aggregate liability for any claim arising from your use of the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim.

8. Termination

You may stop using the service and delete your account at any time from your account settings. We may suspend or terminate accounts for violations of these Terms, non-payment, or as required by law.

9. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be highlighted in the product before they take effect. Continued use of the service after a change takes effect constitutes acceptance.

10. Governing law

This section will specify the governing jurisdiction once the operating entity is finalized. Until then, no specific jurisdiction is asserted, and this draft should not be treated as a complete legal agreement.
